Who is your favorite female celbrity!?

|
By KaleeRoseXOXO · August 5, 2009 · 0 Comments ·

I think there are so many females who are just so IN right now. I have so many favorite celebrities, and each for different reasons. One might be for their fashion, while another might be for their individuality. Vote on your favorite female celebrity, then whichever celeb gets the most hits, a blog will be written about who their stylist & make up artist is and what they do to achieve their LOOK & how you can achieve your own!

Make Up Magic

Todays blog is all about make up! Make up can transform your look from simple to chic, from classy to seductive. But how can you achieve these looks without knowing about the colors that will make your eyes look best.

Blue Eyes: Blue eyes are hard to do make up on because there are SO many different shades of blue eyes. There are way more shades of blue than there are of green or brown. For light blue eyes, try wearing grays, tans, and medium brown eyeshadows. For dark blue eyes, try whites, all shades of brown, purple, and charcol. It is proven that neutral colors make the blue eye pop more so than other eye colors. As far as eyeliner, if you have lighter blue eyes, I would suggest using a brown eyeliner; however, for dark blue eyes, try black liner. Brown eyeliner makes those baby blues pop, and black makes those deep blues appear brighter. Always match mascara with your eyeliner, if not, it looks silly. Tip for blue eyes: DO NOT put blue eyliner, eyeshadow, or mascara on blue eyes. It all looks way too blended and will just cover your eye color.

Green Eyes: Green eyes are the least common eye color in the United States. Lucky Ladies! The prime color that makes green eyes just look so gorgeous is purple. Any shade of purple will look amazing on a pair of green eyes, especially a deep purple to create a smoky affect! People constantly ask should I use brown or black eyeliner on my green eyes? My suggestion: for light/bright green eyes use either purple or black, brown doesn't make them look special. For a darker green eye you can used either black or brown. Mascara depends once again on what color your liner is! Tip for green eyes: Do NOT wear pink or red eyes

Brown Eyes: Brown eyes are very fun to play with. Most make up artists perfer practicing over and over again on a brown eyed person before ever touching a blue or green eye. This is because brown eyes are so contraversial. You can put on light or dark make up and virtually any color. Colors that especially look good on the brown eye are: creams, dark blues, dark greens, any shade of brown, and angel pinks. Brown eyes can wear either black or colored eyeliner. TIP: Do NOT wear brown eyeliner for the same reasons blue eyes shouldn't wear blue eyeliner. Purple, blue, and dark green eyeliner all look fun on brown eyes. Always wear black mascara!

Shapin' up for the cut!

Everyone has a different shaped face, and sometimes we wonder what hairstyles we can wear on our face according to our shape! This blog is dedicated to the emails I have received asking about hairstyles for different face shapes, but we'll take it a step further to make it more personalized!

The Oval Face: Check to see if the length of your face is 1 and a half times the width! If it is, then you are an oval face. These faces are common and very flattering and cute!

Hair styles you can try: Layered rather than straight or heavy bangs, Short styles which provide instant height at the crown, Styles that keep the sides of your hair short or closer to the face, & Long to very long styles with bangs and a graduated shag or layers so that the face and the neck are given a slenderizing shape.

Celebrities that flaunt the oval face: Jennifer Aniston & Elizabeth Taylor

The Heart Shaped Face: The heart shaped face is narrow at jaw line while wide at forehead and cheekbones. These face shapes are very beautiful and you can play them up great!

Hairstyles you can try: Short hair with soft curls, extremely long hair with soft curls at the bottom, straight, long hair, or shoulder length choppy hair!

Celebrities that flaunt a heart shaped face: Scarlett Johannson and Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen

The Square Face: If you have a square shaped face your forehead, jaw line and cheekbones are almost equal in width!

Hairstyles you can try: Long with a lot of layers (try to stay away from short cuts that will only make your face look more harsh & square!), stay away from straight across bangs. Instead, try a sweep over bang like Sandra Bullock! These cuts will help make your face look a little bit longer!

Celebrities that flaunt a square shape: Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie

The Triangular Face: If you have a wider forehead that narrows gradually to a slightly pointed or round chin, this constitutes as a traingular face!

Hair styles you can try: Very short hair styles! ex. (bob, longer in the front and shorter in the back, shoulder length hair). You can try medium length hair with sweep over bangs, or even very long hair! These face shapes are rare but very diverse when it comes to styling!

Celebrities that flaunt a triangular face: Victoria Beckham and Reese Witherspoon

The Diamond Face: Wide cheeks, narrow forehead and jaw line. People with a diamond shape face MAY or may not have a pointed chin, as well!

Hairstyles for the diamond face: Chin length is a perfect cut for someone with a diamond shaped face! This will help create fullness at the nape of your neck. I would not reccomend very long hair for someone who has this type of face! You can even do layers a little below your shoulder, but keep it relatively short!

Celebrities that flaunt a diamond face: Madonna and Rachel McAdams

Summer Fun!

Now that it's definitely summer, lets talk about summer style!

No matter where you live, these fashions are in for the summer!

As far as SHOES go the latest and greatest is the gladiator heel! Every celebrity seems to have a gladiator heel in her closet. Gladiator heels are the strappy shoes with the heel attached, and the more straps for summer 2009, the better! You can buy cheap gladiator heels at places like www.gojane.com and www.forever21.com. Another shoe that is hitting summer 2009 seems to be the reptile inspired shoe! Designers such as Marc Jacobs are making this shoe really popular amongst celebrities. Stores such as Aldo carry a much more affordable reptile heel. You can browse Aldo at www.aldoshoes.com.

Lets talk something that summer is so convenient for and that's DRESSES! On your to-buy list for the remainder of the summer should definitely be an inspired flapper dress! From the silkened feminimity to the fringe, these dresses are popping up everywhere. Also, the one shoulder dress is in now more than ever. Find these dresses cheaper at www.ebay.com. Roman and Grecian (greek) dresses are also a big hit for this summer! These are also known as maxi dresses & short flapper dresses. For some of these looks, try www.charlotterusse.com.

Other important trends for summer 09' include:

jewel incrested clothing
ripped jeans (yes they're back!) try a pair in white like Kim Kardashian, or in denim like Nicole Richie!
and the boyfriend jean, just don't wear them like Katie Holmes!

Spring Forward!

|
By KaleeRoseXOXO · May 4, 2009 · 0 Comments ·

It's May already! I love the month of May because there are so many fun fashion trends that go along with spring. Some of my favorite spring trends include the dresses that all girls love to wear! The reason why spring dresses are so great is because you can find a certain dress for any body type. Dresses that are especially hot right now include:

The one shoulder strap dress! Stars like Kim Kardashian and Jessica Alba are wearing these everywhere! The one strap dress with a tighter mid section and a looser bottom half are so in it's unbelievable! Also, it seems that the long dress hasn't died from last year, either. The long, floral print dresses are still very, very in!

Tropical colors are in for this spring. The big colors this spring include papya, pistachio, and polka dot patterns! What fun colors!

Another really elegant look for this spring is a fitted, white dress pant! The white dress pant just looks so elegant on women and I'm totally in love with it! The cargo pant is not so much in this spring, it's more about the fitted clothing!

As far as tops go, ruffles and patterns are really in for this spring! Some springs it's more of a simple shirt, but not this spring.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them!

XOXO,

KALEEROSE
